to grow deer populations to their appropriate county goals, certain
counties are placed in the restricted archery zone (raz) during the
month of october. the illinois restricted archery zone consists of
champaign, douglas, macon and piatt counties (except allerton park
only antlered deer may be harvested in the restricted archery zone,
regardless of permits in possession. an antlered deer is defined as a
deer having at least one antler of a length of 3 or more inches. after
october 31, archery regulations are the same as the rest of the state.
