Search for your state’s deer season and you will find confident, tidy pages that are wrong — some of them wrong in the direction that gets a hunter charged. We found one telling Washington hunters a state-endangered species has “no closed season.” The page cited the very document it contradicted.
So this reader does the one thing those pages don’t: it proves where every fact came from.
Not a summary. The words of the booklet, the citation, the page, and the cryptographic hash of the exact file we read.
Every state record declares its gaps — the rules it knows exist but does not carry — before you see a single row. A page that can’t admit what’s missing can’t be trusted with what’s there.
When verification finds a defect, the state goes offline — dated, with the reasons printed where its rows used to be — until it is re-verified end to end. We would rather show you nothing than show you something stale.
