Hunters are responsible for determining if their desired hunt unit is still open before hunting by checking the status online at www.azgfd.gov/harvestreports When the number of deer harvested during the over-the-counter, nonpermit-tag archery season equals the harvest limit for a particular unit and legal deer has been reached, that unit will close to archery deer hunting at sundown the Wednesday immediately following for the remainder of the archery deer hunting season.
